Who we are
Founded in 1997, Green Empowerment is a US-based 501(c)3 organization, currently working with 24 partners in 13 countries to build community-owned and -operated water and renewable energy infrastructure. These micro-utilities are designed for the local context, installed by local partners and the communities themselves and sustained by local tariffs and paid technicians. We have reached over 500,000 people in our first 26 years and are in a moment of exciting growth for our organization.
Who we're looking for
We are seeking Board Members with a passion for our mission, relevant work- and lived- experience and a desire to help us fundraise and expand our network. Together we can create a more equitable world where everyone has reliable, affordable and clean energy and water in their homes and communities.
