15th Annual Benefit Dinner at Andina Restaurant in downtown Portland!

This annual dinner is a wonderful opportunity to join Green Empowerment and friends for an intimate evening of inspirational stories from around the world and enjoy a three-course Peruvian dinner featuring local wine pairings and dessert.

The evening will include a silent auction, with treasures crafted by local artists and the communities we work with abroad, a keynote address and opportunities to connect with others who are passionate about sustainable, international development. Pisco sours and bocaditos start at 6 p.m. Proceeds will advance our efforts to provide life-changing renewable energy and clean water to isolated communities in Peru and beyond.

Date: Mon, May 11th and Tues, May 12th
Time: Doors Open at 5:30 p.m.
Location: Andina Restaurant
Cost: $150 per person

Many thanks to Andina owners Doris and John Platt for their years of continuous support. This event would not be possible without their incredible generosity. Thank you for believing in Green Empowerment and doing your part to ensure our projects around the world continue to grow and thrive.

Peru Project Highlights

Working with a 500 family agrarian cooperative, we built an onsite plant to produce biomass briquettes from the waste created by their communally owned and operated wood mill.

In partnership with local coffee cooperatives and Soluciones Prácticas, we installed 400 improved cookstoves and trained local women entrepreneurs to become cookstove promoters.

The Puruvian Ministry of Education and the Ministry of the Environment announced that they plan to adopt and replicate a school nutrition program that we developed in partnership with Soluciones Prácticas in Northern Peru.
